Flash 12K

Erik and I ran a 12K this morning. It was a crisp 26 degrees--not the weather I like to be in! Thankfully, Jim and Shirley said they would watch Kayleigh. That allowed her to sleep in and stay warm. Plus, she loves her grandparents! Erik came in 2nd in his age group, and I came in 4th in mine. We both got sweatshirts, and I got a trophy since it was my first 12K. I'll take the trophy to school to show it off. More people will see it there than at my house! :) I would take a picture of it and post it but our digital camera broke!! I will need to get a new one soon!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Kayleigh is giving Ginger some Valentine's Day love on the couch. Ginger looks so happy to be there, doesn't she??? Kayleigh loves Ginger, and Ginger is good to put up with her.
P.S. Keep scrolling for more posts. It's a marathon post day!

Lily needs a diaper change

After dinner last night, Erik watched as Kayleigh got out her mat, wipes and a diaper to change Lily the frog. She put Lily on the mat, let me open the wipes and then...wiped her nose instead of her bottom! I thought that was funny. Kayleigh got distracted from the original chore, I guess, because that's all she wanted to do. After wiping Lily's nose, she wiped her own.

Bozo the clown

The other night, Kayleigh had some spaghetti to eat for dinner. After getting it all over her face, I thought she looked a lot like Bozo the Clown. Do you agree?

Dancing fool

Kayleigh was in a dancing mood today. Her teachers always play music in the classroom, and as soon as Kayleigh walked in this morning, she ran over by the cd player and started to dance. Her note home today said that it's all that she wanted to do. I brought Kayleigh back to school this afternoon to watch the JV softball game. She heard the music on the loud speakers and would dance while it was on. She would point at it when it turned off, wanting to hear more. One of the teachers saw her dancing and then pointed to a nearby pole. The teachers are NOT a good influence on Kayleigh, trying to teach her how to dance in a not so nice way! Luckily, she's too shy to listen to a stranger. :)

Pictures

Kayleigh and I are home early from school today because she has diarrhea again!! I think it's teething, but we'll see if the school will buy it. I know it's been a long time since I've posted anything...we've been pretty boring around here. Kayleigh ate some yogurt today and I got some pictures of her. Enjoy!
